Great Neck Letter Carrier to be Featured in Super Bowl Commercial:  Looking for a reason to tune in to the Super Bowl? Great Neck letter carrier Lorenzo Hudson might be your answer. The 19-year-old local mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service regularly walks the main section of town making 439 deliveries a day on Cuttermill Road, Jayson Avenue and Tobin Avenue. Hudson will be featured Sunday during the pre-game commercials for the Super Bowl.

GN Estates Mayor Honored by Shomrim Society: Great Neck Estates Mayor David Fox was honored Sunday by the Nassau County Shomrim Society. Fox, who serves as police commissioner for the village, was presented with the Janusz Korczak Award at an annual breakfast ceremony at the Great Neck Synagogue.

That’s when Nassau County police discovered 18 pit bulls, many of them wounded, as part of a dog-fighting ring.
