The Furman Film Series has announced showtimes the first three of five films to be presented this Spring at the Great Neck Arts Center.
Upcoming films include: "A.K.A. Doc Pomus" on March 7, "Hunky Dory" on March 21 and "Disconnect" on April 11.
Founded in 1995, the Furman series presents powerful and thought-provoking independent, art and foreign films year-round. The film screenings include sneak previews of highly anticipated films prior to their release dates and exclusive Long Island premieres of noteworthy films.
Films to be screened April 18 and May 2 have yet to be announced.
The showings at the Clearview Squire Cinemas in Great Neck will be followed by question and answer sessions with filmmakers and industry professionals.
Regular film series subscriptions are $75, $65 for seniors. Advance purchase individual adult tickets are $15, $10 for students. If available, tickets at the door are $20.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for subscribers and 7:15 p.m. for individual ticket holders on show dates. Click here for ticket check-in policies.
