Great Neck Letter Carrier Featured in Super Bowl Ad

Lorenzo Hudson, who makes 439 deliveries a day in Great Neck, said filming the ad was an awesome experience.

Looking for a reason to tune in to the Super Bowl? Great Neck letter carrier Lorenzo Hudson might be your answer.

The 19-year mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service regularly walks the main section of town making 439 deliveries a day on Cuttermill Road, Jayson Avenue and Tobin Avenue. Hudson will be featured Sunday during the pre-game commercials for the Super Bowl.

Filmed outside of Great Neck, the ad features the part-time actor working a route giving viewers an inside look at his job.

In the commercial, Hudson says he has to “wear a lot of hats” to serve not only residential customers but small business owners in his community who rely on mail and package delivery.

“It was an awesome experience being in this commercial,” Hudson said. “I love my job as a mail carrier and presenting the Postal Service in a positive manner and promoting business was a great opportunity.”

"We love him," said Great Neck Customer Service Supervisor Robert Feller in a press release. "I’m very happy he’s branching out in a new career and one that helps the Postal Service.”
