We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week Great Neck Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.
This week, the Sunday@3 Series in Great Neck features the Brewflies.
The Freeport-based acoustic/electric trio combines traditional old-time Appalachian string-band tunes; acoustic folk songs of artists like John Prine, James Taylor, and Randy Newman; New Orleans blues-rock-boogie; alt-country: Jazz-Latino-Brazilian choro, and folk-rock rootsy Americana reminiscent of Dylan and the Band and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Consisting of bandmates Larry Brittain, Billy Clockel and Jeff Schmich, the three musicians have been playing, performing, arranging and recording traditional and contemporary acoustic music for three decades, according to efolkmusic.org.
A current park card is required to register and attend the 3 p.m. event at Great Neck House.
