Save the Date: 'Movin' Out's' Wade Preston at Gold Coast Arts Center

Lead singer and pianist from the Broadway hit to perform live in May, celebrating Billy Joel's birthday in Great Neck.

Wade Preston of Broadway's "Movin' Out" will perform at the Gold Coast Acoustic Café at Great Neck's Gold Coast Arts Center, celebrating the "Piano Man's" birthday on Saturday May 3,  at 8 p.m.

Wade played the Piano Man role in Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp’s Broadway hit "Movin’ Out" for its entire three-and-a-half year run, and starred in the national tours for the next few years. He still performs with the Movin’ Out Band.

Wade did virtually all the rehearsals and sound checks for Billy Joel’s historic Last Play at Shea performances, according to the Gold Coast Arts Center. He also performed at the Pennsylvania Inauguration Ball in Washington, D.C., for President Obama, Vice President Biden and Pennsylvania Governor Rendell.
