Weather permitting, jazz singer Aubrey Johnson will perform in Great Neck this weekend.
Johnson, a New York and and Boston-based vocalist, composer, and educator who specializes in jazz, Brazilian and creative contemporary music put on a show at the Great Neck House as part of the Sunday@3 Series.
Johnson holds a master's degree in music of music from the New England Conservatory. In 2012, she joined the faculty of the New England Conservatory as the director of the school’s vocal jazz ensemble.
The singer has performed or recorded with jazz greats Bobby McFerrin, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, Mark Walker, Paul McCandless, Fred Hersch and Jimmy Cobb, according to her website.
The 3 p.m. performances, scheduled during the fall, winter and spring months at Great Neck House, include coffee and conversation with guest speakers.
A current park card is required to register and attend the 3 p.m. event at Great Neck House.
