Great Neck Firefighter Honored
Michael Gerrero recognized by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano.
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano recently honored Great Neck Alert Fire Company’s former second assistant chief Michael Gerrero for his 14 years of service and congratulated him on becoming a member of the New York Fire Department.
Joining Mangano and sponsoring the award ceremony was Richard Smythe, vice president of JetBlue, who provided a round trip airline ticket in recognition of former Second Assistant Chief Michael Gerrero’s dedicated service.
Also in attendance were Chief Fire Marshal Scott D. Tusa, Fire Commissioner Rick Gardner, Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos and members of the Great Neck Alert Fire Company.
