"The members of the USS New Jersey Veterans Association are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our shipmate, Murray. We join with so many others who knew Murray in offering our deepest sympathy on his passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in his passing you can celebrate the end of a wonderfully productive life," the association noted on a memorial website.
