Armed Robbery at Great Neck Bank

Nassau Police say man with handgun knocked off Chase Bank on Middle Neck Road Friday.

Nassau County Police are seeking a middle-aged man in connection with an armed robbery at Chase Bank in Great Neck Friday morning.

The heist temporarily locked down Great Neck North High School, school officials confirmed. And the bandit got away clean.

Police said the man entered the Chase Bank at 675 Middle Neck Rd. at 9:30 a.m. He displayed a handgun and demanded money.

Six employees and one customer were in the bank at the time, but the man took an undisclosed amount of cash and walked out without incident. He was last seen walking southbound on Middle Neck Road.

Police describe the robbery suspect as a 5-foot-10 black man with a thin build, between 50-60 years old. He was wearing a light colored winter cap, green shirt, blue pants and white sneakers.
