Cops: Man Stabbed With Screwdriver at Village Green Park

Police searching for suspect after Monday assault.

Nassau police say a man was stabbed Monday in a Village of Great Neck park by a man possibly using a screwdriver in the attack.

The assault occurred at 9:30 p.m. inside a gazebo on the Village Green at 665 Middle Neck Rd.

Police say, a 24 year old male victim was approached by a Hispanic male, an argument occurred, then the victim was stabbed several times about the body.

The Hispanic subject fled the scene on foot westbound on Arrandale Avenue.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. 

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous, according to police.
