Huntington

Latin Kings Leader Sentenced to 16 Years: Angel Cordero Jr., leader of the Huntington branch of the Latin Kings street gang, was sentenced to 16 years in prison Wednesday.

Man Shot in Huntington Station: A man was shot Tuesday night on Railroad Street in Huntington Station. Suffolk County Police said they received a call at 7:34 p.m. about a shooting. They said a 27-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg in front of 27 Railroad St.

Massapequa

Heroin Arests in Massapequa Park: Two brothers were busted for heroin possession after a woman passed out in a Massapequa Park home, police said. Police went to the home of Bryan Luther, 18, and  his brother Thomas, 23, at their home on on Atlantic Avenue. Officers arrested the brothers and recovered heroin and cocaine. They were charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Man Arrested in Viginia for Massapequa Burglary: DNA evidence left at the scene of a burglary in Massapequa earlier this month led to an arrest in Virginia on Monday, according to Nassau County police. 

Syosset

: A man, formerly of Syosset, dubbed "the most wanted deadbeat parent" by the Department of Health and Human Services has been brought into custody for escaping over $1,000,000 in child support payments, reports say. According to Newsday, Robert Sand, 50, had lived in Thailand for the greater part of 10 years, hiding from three arrest warrants and evading child support payments to his three children.

Northport

E. Northport TD Bank Robbed: A East Northport TD Bank at 517 E. Larkfield Road was robbed Friday by a man wearing a Mardi Gras mask. Police say a man made a verbal demand for cash at 7:10 p.m. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank on foot.

New Hyde Park

New Hyde Park Man Pleads Guilty to Role in $10M Fraud Scheme: According to U.S. Federal prosecutors for the State of Connecticut, Randall Silver, 43, of New Hyde Park, entered a guilty plea on December 13 to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering, and one count of wire fraud. Silver was a vice-president of finance and chief financial officer at the Oxford Collection Agency, Inc.

Glen Head

Arrest in Glen Head Burglaries: A Glen Head man was arrested Thursday after attempting to sell jewelry linked to several area burglaries, Nassau County Police said. Frank Lisberg, 27, was charged with eight counts of second degree burglary. He will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead. 

Great Neck

Great Neck Man Charged in Fatal DWI: A Great Neck man was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated in the death of a Jericho man early Saturday along the Long Island Expressway, according to the NYPD. Christian Ludlow, 69, was traveling east near Little Neck Parkway when he struck and killed Jordan Savvides 22, who was walking west along the road at 4:24 a.m., according to police.
