Police: Sisters Struck in Hit-and-Run

One woman, 54, in critical condition after being hit by vehicle on Arrandale Ave.

Two woman – 54-year-old twins – were hospitalized after being struck in a hit-and-run Saturday evening in Great Neck, Nassau County Police said. 

The victims, who police did not identify, were walking along the north side of Arrandale Ave. at 6:20 p.m. when they were struck. 

Police said the vehicle, also unidentified, was travelling westbound on Arrandale and then fled the scene without stopping.

The sisters were transported to an area hospital, where one was listed in critical condition with head trauma and internal injuries. The other suffered from non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are looking for the public’s help with identifying the vehicle involved in this incident and request anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
