Coming Soon: Bagel & Deli Cafe

New business approved at 33 N. Station Plaza Rd. in Great Neck Plaza.

A new eatery will be opening up soon in the Plaza — the Bagel & Deli Cafe.

At a Village Hall public hearing Wednesday, the Great Neck Plaza Board of Trustees granted a conditional use permit to the cafe's owner, Ju T. Lee of Lake Success.

The business will take the space previously occupied by the Turquoise Seafood Restaurant at 33 N. Station Plaza, between Dunkin' Donuts and the Chinese Wok.

Lee, the current owner of Bagel Town at 45 Northern Blvd., said he expects to employ four people and provide eight tables with seating for 16 at the new establishment.

Open Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., the cafe will offer delivery, salads, coffee, fresh juices, frozen yogurt, muffins, sandwiches and bagels.

Before voting to approve the application, Plaza Mayor Jean Celender warned Lee about double parking at the requested spot.

"At this location we cannot have that going on," said Celender. "We're going to require that you monitor that."

Lee agreed.

The use permit passed by a vote of 4-0.

Trustee Pamela Marksheid was absent from the meeting Wednesday.

Isn't this Wendy Kreitzman's husband? Of course, Wendy - the lying editor at the Great NeckRead More Record!!! How cozy of you both - I sent in a letter to Anton Press regarding Wendy's erroneous and biased coverage of Pamela Geller's appearance at the Chabad in Great Neck and never received an answer. I didn't really expect to either. But why would we continue to support establishment candidates when the systems continue to fail, property taxes continue to rise, services continue to decrease, corruption on every level from local to federal exists, and you have a complicit media with your own wife at the helm. I don't think so!
