Great Neck Food Drive Underway

Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel, D-Great Neck, is partnering with Long Island Cares in the second annual legislative food drive in the 16th Assembly District.

The food drive aims to help meet the needs of the 300,000 plus needy Long Islanders.

Needed items include non-perishable foods, personal care items, baby diapers, pet food, paper goods, new blankets, and household cleaning supplies. Items can be dropped off from now until March 31 at Schimel’s District Office at 45 North Station Plaza, Suite 203 in Great Neck.  Collection boxes are also available at the following locations:

  • Great Neck Senior Center at 80 Grace Avenue
  • The Herricks Community Center at 999 Herricks Road
  • Port Washington Community Chest at 382 Main Street
