Great Neck Village Mulling Clothes Line Restrictions

Public hearing set for Tuesday at Village Hall.

The Village of Great Neck Board of Trustees has scheduled a public hearing Tuesday to discuss a proposed plan which could outlaw the use of clothes lines in the front yards of homes.

Also at the meeting, a request for the construction of a street light at 16 Preston Rd. will also be discussed, according to the meeting agenda released Tuesday.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. The public hearing is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.

Other public hearings scheduled for Dec. 4 include:

  • A hearing to discuss a change to village code which would loosen village tree-timming regulations.
  • A hearing regarding a possible amendment to village law with regard to temporary structures.
  • A hearing in reference to the proposed enumeration of prohibited noises in the village code.
  • A hearing to discuss a proposed change to the fee schedule regarding village zoning matters.
