Delayed Library Election Monday

All candidates running unopposed.

Little to no surprises are expected in Monday's Great Neck library election which was delayed due to superstorm Sandy.

All all candidates are running unopposed. 

Eligible voters will reelect Josie Pizer and Varda Solomon to the Board of Trustees for four-year terms which will each end January 2017.

Residents will also elect Stacee Bernstein and Andrew Dorf to the nominating committee for a three-year terms ending January 2016.

The election runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday at several locations for those wishing to vote in person.

For residents North of Northern Boulevard, ballots may be cast at the main library, 159 Bayview Ave.

For those living South of Northern Boulevard, ballots may be cast at the Parkville Branch Library, 10 Campbell St., on Monday.

Bernstein is running to fill the seat currently held by Naomi Feldheim, who is not seeking reelection.

Dorf is running to fill the seat of Michael Fuller, who is not seeking reelection.

Voters must be over 18, a resident of the Great Neck School District and must hold a valid library card by the record date of Oct. 1, 2012, or be a registered voter with the Nassau County Board of Elections.

For those needing to submit a proxy ballot, they may be picked up at main library and must be returned by Nov. 30.
