How could we at Patch resist this one?
Patches, a pit bull terrier, is one of the many dogs available at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter, 75 Marino Ave. in Port Washington.
The female potential pet, up-to-date with routine shots and an ID of 1105012-256, is looking for a roommate or two to take her in.
Currently, more than 20 dogs are available at the animal shelter which helps find loving families for dogs who are currently homeless, like Patches. A complete list of the dogs at the shelter is available at petfinder.com.
Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis on the day that the dog is available for adoption, according to shelter rules.
The cost of adoption is $29.50 in cash which includes license fee. The dogs have been spayed or neutered and checked out by a veterinarian.
Call the shelter (516) 944-8220 Monday through to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for more information about Patches and other adoptable pets.
