U.S. Senate Candidate Wendy Long to Make Stop in Kings Point Tuesday

Republican to appear at reception hosted by local resident.

Less than two weeks from the Nov. 6 election, U.S Senate candidate Wendy Long will make a stop in Kings Point Tuesday.

The Republican challenger to incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., is an invited guest at a reception hosted by businessman Curtis Katz. The private event at 10 Hamptworth Dr. is open to the media.

A Manhattan mother, wife and attorney, Long is looking to unseat Gillibrand who is seeking election to her first full term. Gillibrand was tapped by former Gov. David Paterson in 2009 to fill the seat vacated by Hillary Clinton.
