Great Neck School Budget Passes

Great Neck voters approved an $214 million budget on Tuesday for the 2014-15 school year.

With a final tally of 1,679 to 444 in favor, residents within the Great Neck School District can expect to see a 1.97 percent increase in their collective tax levy in the following year. The budget falls within the tax levy capital limit.  

The following candidates won school board seats: Lawrence R. Gross with 1,494 votes and Susan Healy with 1,490. Chien Huang received 864. The district received 106 unverified write-in ballots.
