Earth Day: USMMA, Library to Team up For Annual Event Saturday

Appreciation for Earth's oceans to be discussed.

In celebration of the Earth Day 2013, the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Great Neck Library will work together once again to offer a Saturday filled with fun science and colorful chemistry for kids.

The April 20 event includes, six workstations and 20 interactive hands-on activities and demonstrations designed to promote awareness and appreciation for the Earth's oceans, one of the planet’s most valuable natural resources.
