Voter's Guide: Great Neck School Budget, Board Election

Great Neck School District residents will vote on the district’s $214 million proposed budget for the 2014-15 school year on Tuesday.

The proposal calls for a 2.21 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.97 percent percent tax levy increase, which is within the state's tax cap.

School officials say the fiscal plan allows the district to enhance programs, even at a time of economic pressures.
