The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's basketball team won for the fifth time in six games Wednesday, running past Trinity (Conn.), 66-58.
Junior Reed Buck had 24 points while senior Frankie Wiseley added 13 points and 5 rebounds for USMMA (8-4).
Trinity (5-7) took a 35-34 edge early in the second half, but the Mariners put the game away with a 13-5 run.
USMMA faces Landmark Conference rival Catholic (11-1) in Washington D.C. Saturday at 6 p.m. Catholic is ranked ninth in NCAA Division III.
