Two young boys from New York were seriously injured when the bouncy house they were playing in was swept up by a wind gust.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS, New York – Two young boys were seriously injured when the "bounce house" they were in was blown away by a powerful gust of wind.

WNYT reported that there were three children in the bounce house at the time of the incident. The boys aged 5 and 6, and a 10-year-old girl. All three fell out of the house as it flew into the air. The 10-year-old girl suffered scrapes and bruises.

The TV station reported that one of the boys landed on a parked car and the other asphalt. Witnesses said the bounce house flew over wooded area and landed behind a school.

The Post Star newspaper reported that the children were about 15 feet off the ground when they fell from the bounce house.

The newspaper reported that witnesses told police the house reached a height of at least 50 feet. A photo taken by a witness and attached to this post confirmed that the house flew high into the air.

"It was like a horror movie," Taylor Seymour told the newspaper. "It just kept going up and up. It cleared our building and the trees."
