Cops: Elmont Man Arrested After Great Neck Armed Robbery Incident

Joshua B. Prince, 21, of Elmont, is charged with robbery first degree and criminal use of a firearm first degree degree.

An Elmont man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a robbery that occurred on July 29 in Great Neck, according to Nassau police.

Joshua B. Prince, 21, of Elmont, is charged with robbery first degree and criminal use of a firearm first degree degree.  He will be arraigned on Aug. 8 at First District Court in Hempstead.

According to detectives, while walking eastbound on Clair Street in the vicinity of Tobin Avenue at 10:35 p.m., a 22 year old male victim was approached by two male blacks wearing masks, one being armed with a black handgun. After pointing the gun at the victim’s neck, the subject took a bag from the victim that contained clothing and his wallet. The second subject, who was wearing a black baseball hat, then took the victim’s cell phone from his hand. After telling the victim to continue walking, the subjects fled westbound on Clair Street.
