Best U.S. High Schools: Two in Great Neck Rank High on Top 2000 List

Two Great Neck high schools rated high among the nation's 2,000 top schools, according to the third annual Newsweek/Daily Beast survey of "America's Best High Schools."

Published online May 6 by Newsweek and its corporate owner, The Daily Beast, the list ranks schools based on six weighted criteria.

Great Neck South High School ranks No. 67 in the nation. Great Neck North is at No. 181.

New York had 194 high schools that placed on the 2013 Newsweek/Daily Beast survey. City Honors School at Fosdick-Masten Park in Buffalo was the highest ranked New York school at No. 22 nationally.
